Golf at Carden Park
The Nicklaus Course – The course in Cheshire was designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son Steve, it is a rewarding golf challenge in Cheshire, with several ‘double option’ golf holes such as 7th and 15th which offer a choice of fairways from which to approach the green. The Nicklaus course at Carden Park Golf Resort offers a scenic yet strategic test of golf where position more than length is crucial. As Jack said, “it certainly is a thinking man’s golf course”. A Longest Drive competition is recommended on the 4th, with the 16th ideal for Nearest the Pin at Carden Park Golf Resort. An average fourball can expect to complete the Carden Park Nicklaus Course in around 4 ¾ hours.
Cheshire Course – is reminiscent of the finest British heathland golf courses; set to the rear of the Carden Park Cheshire Estate it offers stunning panoramic views across the Cheshire countryside to the mountains of Wales. A wealth of natural hazards through the Carden Park golf course in Chester make this a highly technical course and will test your golf skills throughout. Building to a dramatic and scenic finish, with tough 16th and 17th holes followed by the 18th tee atop sandstone cliffs overlooking the Carden Park Resort and Welsh hills. It certainly ensures a round of golf to remember.
A Longest Drive competition is ideal on the 9th hole of the Cheshire golf course at Carden Park, with the 15th proving popular for Nearest the Pin, which keeps even the flagging golf players competitive spirits up right until your return to the Carden Park Clubhouse.
